This explains what TradeAssist collects, why, and who can see it.
When you list yourself we keep your name, mobile number, home ZIP code (we store its approximate center point, not your address), trades, travel distance, whether you have your own transportation, weekly schedule, current availability, and your booking record (jobs completed and reported no-shows, including any disputes).
What contractors see in search: your first name and last initial, your phone number, trades, approximate distance, transportation, availability and booking record. Showing your number is the point of the directory, so contractors can call or text you. Your full last name, ZIP and schedule are not shown.
You can search without an account, and the ZIP code or location you search from isn't stored. When you place a hold we keep the name and mobile number you enter, so we can text you the worker's answer and show the worker who booked them. The worker you hold sees your name and number. Your browser also remembers your filters, name, number and recent bookings on your own device so you don't have to retype them.
We don't sell personal information. We don't share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We use a few service providers to run the site:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
We keep your information while your listing or bookings are active. To have your listing and its bookings deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, contact us. Reply STOP to any text to stop messages at any time.
